We engineered shipping cradles for a tank weighing over 220,000 lbs.
The tank was 33′ in diameter and 65′ tall, which is near the limit of shop fabrication. Finite Element Analysis was used to confirm the cradles were adequate to support the tank as well as cope with any acceleration and deceleration forces.
